05-10: Dynamic Load Considerations in Cooling Tower Water Distribution Piping Cleaning SystemsCooling tower water distribution piping is typically designed for normal water flow rates and low operating pressures. Actual operating conditions can produce pressure and flow conditions that create significant dynamic piping loads. This paper identifies cooling tower operating practices that may create increased piping loads and provides deep considerations that can help prevent catastrophic pipe failures.
