Future Fossils №2 – Norway Blue & VioletArtwork Information While hiking near Kongsberg in Norway, I came across a small stream filled with chalk and sand after a mudslide, and these leaves offered me a wonderful abstract and intimate motif. I especially like these special places that you have to discover first and that do not immediately catch your eye and draw attention. Always feels a little like a real discovery.

Slower freezing rates tend to produce larger bubbles

where jagged peaks and steep ridges emerge from the ice

These chaotic patterns can create stunning visual displays that are in constant change and transformation

and carbon dioxide are released and form pockets of air which are then trapped in the ice

The appearance changed with every inch I moved with my camera

colorful currents spread across the dark shoreline

almost mythical atmosphere

shaped by light

like a frozen record of earlier dynamics

The absence of color and the reduced visibility create a quiet

not far from the glacier Langjökull

can affect the color of the ice
